korkprop_01Glass Stoppers
We recently spent some time in Napa Valley and were surprised to see that several of the wineries were using the new Vino-Lok glass stoppers for their wines. In addition to being superior to corks by eliminating cork taint, the decanter style stoppers look great! At ZD Winery they are using the glass ‘slippers’ for their 2008 Rosa Lee Viognier. With only 200 cases produced, we won’t have to worry about storing our wine.

The bottle comes with the usual foil cover like the traditional cork. Alas, old habits die hard because our server at ZD said customers were still trying to use the corkscrew on the stoppers. Oof!
